When I first began blogging about two years ago, my blog was called "In My Mind's Eye" and presented photoshop altered photographs of my husband and children, grandchildren, my pets Maggy and Zoey, and my community and other subject matter appealing to me. I am 66 years old, and my "work" is as a 24/7 caregiver for my Mom who lives with us and is now 96 and also receives care from an in home hospice program; amazing and wonderful people come here to help us each week, they are truly family. Because my time outside the home is very limited and brief, and watching soaps operas while eating bon-bons was not my thing, I began to self-learn Adobe Photoshop and other computer art programs. Art had always interested me but I'd never had the space, time or patience to set up an easel and work in oils or watercolors. So the computer became my palette, and mouse became palette knives and brushes. While blogging, most interest and the majority of comments were towards our Himalayans, Maggy and Zoey and from them, my main blog ZOOLATRY evolved. Zoolatry has been around about two and a half years now, with over 1200 posts on it. The best part of Zoolatry is that I have been introduced to hundreds of loving pet owners around the world, they may own cats, or dogs, or both ~ birds, fish, hamsters and gerbils. They have allowed me to do photo-art alterations on their photographs and over time I've built a "library" of close to 4000 photo-art images. And I am pleased and humbled that most of the time (not always) the recipients have enjoyed and been happy with my work. Collectibles is a new blog for me. An opportunity to grow my photo-art with as much imagination and creativity as I can summon. It is an experiment, I hope it will progress. It may not please everyone, but what I will present here pleases me. I'd be happy to do photo-art for you. No promises or guarantees as to what the finished piece might look like - but feel free to email me with any request you may have. I hope you enjoy your visit to Collectibles. Thank you for stopping by.
